We must change.
Watch the video with Eagle Woman (Kandi Mossett) at https://www.linktv.org/shows/bioneers/episodes/kandi-mossett-strengthen-our-communities-and-defend-the-earth and if you didn’t already understand we must change, we must shift to clean sustainable energy and learn how to stand with and for each other and a just and sustainable world then I hope you do after watching the video.
It’s a good speech, it’s fairly quick and you’ll learn something.
Then please watch this with Naelyn Pike at Bioneers 2017. She was introduced by Alexis Bunten, program manager for Bioneers Indigeneity Program.
Watch those videos, then please visit some of the links below and get to work making this a better world, working on sustainability and justice.
Saying we care means little to nothing.
Standing up and working to protect, working to make it safer for those that follow… means everything, THAT is caring.
They spoke at a
gathering, check them out.
Links to things Eagle Woman mentioned:
The book she recommended:
For Indigenous Eyes Only: A Decolonization Handbook
(The link goes to where you can find it in various stores and even search libraries for copies)
Dakota Resource Council
Fort Berthold P.O.W.E.R. (Protectors of Water & Earth Rights)
Indigenous Environmental Network
Naelyn Pike spoke of Oak Flat, here are some things pertaining to there.
Info on how the bill to sell off Oak Flat was introduced and pushed to happen (some is more up to date, some is more background, all should be read)
YOU CAN STILL HELP. Read these things and note the timeline for the EIS at link number 6 below.

Here are a few things I’ll add that apply in many ways
to how we can make this a better world:
Moving away from fossil fuels and to clean ways such as wind and solar
Numerous ways to help the world to a more caring, just, safe and sustainable place
Capitalism, how it damages people and planet and alternatives to it and how that can happen
A quote by Robert Swann that Eagle Woman had on the screen there
at the conclusion of her talk:
“The greatest threat to our planet
is the belief someone else will save it”
An excerpt from Naelyn Pike’s speech:
“Understand that these things do need to be heard
because if it’s not heard what are we gonna do?
What future are we gonna put for our children?
What future am I gonna let my children live in?
I can not let this world be gone
and I can not be a bystander because I’m afraid
or I don’t want to talk about the truth
or I don’t understand”
Don’t let those just be words.
